Admissions

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
Robert Frost, poet, "The Road Not Taken"

JIU Application Process Made Simple

The first step toward advancing your career and reaching your educational goals is earning a degree from JIU®. Applying for admission to one of our exceptional academic programs is easy. JIU has knowledgeable admission counselors who are experienced in assisting you through every step of the process.

Determine eligibility, as you may be eligible by exam or receive credit for prior learning. GMAT scores are not required for admission into a graduate program.

Review Tuition Assistance Options

An admission counselor can review the best ways to make your education a financially feasible goal. JIU provides financial aid via loans, scholarships and grants.

Submit Application Online

Plan on 15 minutes for independent completion, or less with assistance from a JIU admission counselor. Fast application review and turnaround occurs in just a few days.

Transition to Personal Academic Services Counselor (ASC)

Meet your "personal trainer" who will see you through every step of the way, until you graduate. Together, you'll create a degree program and course of study that is manageable and achievable. The JIU staff ensured that I was given all the necessary tools and support needed as a student to be successful. I enjoyed the fact that each and every advisor took the time to make sure I was able to achieve my educational goals. I was able to interact with students and teachers on a global basis to reach a common understanding of the subjects.
